The COD-to-prepaid nudge is a free Shopify section that shows a prepaid saving, like “Pay online, save ₹50”, next to the cash-on-delivery option on your product page. It matters because returned COD orders cost you freight both ways. Across the Indian D2C brands we work with, ₹23 of every ₹100 booked came back as RTO.

How do I reduce COD orders on Shopify?
Give buyers a clear reason to pay online at the moment they choose: a rupee saving, faster dispatch or a small COD fee. Show it next to the payment choice, not only at checkout. This section does that on the product page.
Does this section change my checkout prices?
No. It only shows the message on your product page. Set the matching prepaid discount or COD fee in your checkout or COD app so the buyer sees the same number at payment.
Should I charge a COD fee or give a prepaid discount?
Test both. A prepaid discount feels like a gift. A COD fee feels like a cost and can drop conversion. Many brands start with a small prepaid saving and watch RTO and conversion together.
Will it work with my theme?
It works on any Online Store 2.0 theme, including Dawn and its variants. Older themes need the code placed in the product template by hand.
